Our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Te Tiriti o Waitangi guides how we work alongside whānau, communities, providers, iwi and mana whenua. This statement reflects our commitment to genuine partnership and to achieving Pae Ora across Te Moana a Toi.

E mārama ana mātou kei ngā pūrākau, kei ngā kōrero tuku iho, ngā whakapapa, me ngā hononga i waenga i ngā hapū o tēnei takiwā o Te Waiariki ngā kōrero mōna anō.

English translation
Toi Manawa Alliance acknowledges Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the founding document of Aotearoa and recognises that its principles guide how we work alongside our communities.
The Eastern Bay of Plenty is shaped by the histories, whakapapa and enduring relationships of many iwi and hapū. Decisions about health services and community wellbeing have lasting impacts on whānau. For this reason, Te Ao Māori perspectives and the voices of mana whenua are fundamental to the governance, design and long-term delivery of our work.
We are committed to working in ways that respect, include and reflect Te Ao Māori, supporting genuine partnership to achieve Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) and equitable health outcomes for whānau, now and for generations to come.
