HOW WE WORK
Our name carries our work
Who is Toi Manawa Alliance?
Toi Manawa Alliance is a Primary Health Organisation based in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, supporting general practices and serving whanau across Te Moana a Toi.
Our name reflects both who we are and how we work.
Manawa speaks to the heart of our organisation – the people, relationships and shared rhythm that connect whānau, communities, providers and place. Toi reflects care, skill and intent, and the way we approach our mahi.
The name acknowledges the legacy of Toi-te-Huatahi and our connection to Te Moana a Toi, grounding our work in the communities we serve.
That spirit is carried through everything we do and is expressed through our three taura.
Three strands, one weave
Our operating framework
The three taura that guide how we partner, invest and deliver for our communities.
Everything we do is guided by relationships, collaboration and a shared commitment to improving health and wellbeing. Like the strands of a kete, our three taura work together to strengthen partnerships, guide our decisions and support better outcomes for whānau across Te Moana a Toi.
Our values in practice
Te kawa o Toi Manawa, our values are more than words. They guide how we build relationships, make decisions and show up for one another and the communities we serve. Together, they create the culture that underpins everything we do across Toi Manawa Alliance.
